"The Ardas Youth Festival is a youth gathering, which takes place annually at a place where three peoples and three countries come together: Greece, Turkey and Bulgaria. The venue is on the banks of the Ardas River, where a series of cultural events take place during five days. With its varied programme including rock and folk concerts, the festival aspires to become a cultural festival of Balkan importance that unites the neighbouring peoples with the beat of music. The young and those who feel young at heart get together during the last week of July in the immediate vicinity of the village of Kastanies, in order to take part in one of the most essential cultural events in Northern Greece. It is not only the music that rages on at this beautiful place – a number of other artistic performances and activities are staged too. The last years of the festival have seen the following events taking place in parallel".
